What is mindfulness? Why should I practice it? How can I be mindful in a place like NYC?!?
In Mindfulness 101, we'll answer all these questions and more. We'll discuss the benefits, misconceptions, and ways to practice mindfulness on a regular basis, even amidst the hustle and bustle of our busy lives in NYC. We'll move through a few group exercises to demonstrate mindfulness in different applications, and end with a short meditation and asana practice to pull it all together. You'll leave with tools to reduce stress and anxiety, be more present in your life, and find beauty in the everyday.
Bring a notebook and a pen if you’d like to take notes. Come with an open mind, and wear clothes that you can easily move in.
